About The Author

Rusty Kearney (pronounced: Carney)
is a recovering alcoholic and has
worked with alcoholics for many years.
He has also been an inspiration to
anyone with a disability. Being a below
the knee double amputee since the age
of fourteen, he has so mastered his own
special "situation" that he works out at
a gym regularly, sails, scuba dives and
even practices martial arts.
Mr. Kearney is willing and able to use his notoriety from this, his first novel, to do what
he can to help the physically challenged and alcohol dependent. He has had numerous
radio and TV interviews in New York, Florida, Canada and, renowned as an inspirational
speaker, he addressed a Twelve Step Convention in Germany.
Rusty is available to speak at teen centers, church groups, disabled support groups,
hospitals, alcohol rehabs, schools, libraries or anyplace where a positive, inspirational
message is needed.

Rusty was born in Brooklyn, New York. He now lives in Breezy Point, New York.
He has completed three novels plus three screenplays, including the screenplay for
"On Borrowed Time...With Interest".
His agent has placed his book-length manuscripts and screenplays with some of the
leading publishers, TV studios and motion picture companies. Rusty is currently
working on his fourth novel.
